AT Still University of Health Sciences ( ATSU ) is a private, not-for -profit institution of higher education and the world's first osteopathic medical school . was founded in 1892 by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still , the school is located in Kirksville , Missouri , United States , and has other campuses in Arizona . ATSU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools .
Current and eleventh ATSU president Craig M. Phelps DO, '84 , FAOASM , replacing W. Jack Magruder July 1, 2012 . The Supervisory Board , ATSU 's board , announced the appointment of Dr. Phelps on February 4, 2012 .
Today , ATSU includes college and five schools : The Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine ( ATSU - KCOM ) , The Arizona School of Health Sciences ( ATSU - ASHS ) , the School of Health Management ( ATSU - SHM ) , the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health ( ATSU - ASDOH ) , the School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona ( ATSU - SOMA ) , and the Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health ( ATSU - MOSDOH ) .
